CONSENT ITEM — 8D <br />, AZEN HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: August 14, 2023 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br />FROM: Julie Hanson, Assistant to the City Administrator/City Clerk <br />SUBJECT: Resolution 2023-039 Appointing Economic Development Commissioner <br />Budgeted Amount: Estimated Amount: Funding Source: <br />N/A N/A N/A <br />Council Should Consider <br />Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br />• Approving Resolution 2023-039 Appointing Frank Cupery to the Economic <br />Development Commission <br />Background <br />Per Ordinance, the Economic Development Commission is to be comprised of nine (9) regular <br />members, four (4) of which must be residents. <br />Staff received an application from Frank Cupery and an interview was conducted that included <br />Economic Development Commission Councilmember liaison Emily Rousseau, Staff liaison <br />Senior Planner Elena Fransen and Community Development Director Jessica Jagoe. <br />It is recommended that the City Council appoint Frank Cupery to the Economic Development <br />Commission (EDC) for a term ending December 31, 2025.
