<br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />-- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 74-5 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING RAMSEY COUNTY <br />BOARD'S APPROVAL OF TRANSFER OF RAMSEY <br />COUNTY DRAINAGE SYSTEMS Nos. 1,2,3, <br />4,5,8, II and 12 TO BOARD OF ~1ANAGERS <br />OF RICE CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Managers of the Rice Creek Watershed <br />District have heretofore filed with the Board of County Commis- <br />sioners of Ramsey County, Minnesota, a Petition praying that <br />said Board of County Commissioners make an Order transferring <br />to said Board of Managers Ramsey County Drainage Systems Nos. I, <br />2, 3, 4, 5, 8, II and 12, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County Drainage Systems Nos. 1,4, and 12, <br />are located within the City of Arden Hills and accordingly the <br />City of Arden Hills has an Interest In the approval or denial of <br />said Petition, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Managers of the Rice Creek Watershed <br />District has as one of Its primary objectives the control and <br />management of drainage within the Rice Creek Watershed District, <br />which the City of Arden Hills Is a part, and therefore, It seems <br />appropriate that the control and management of the major drain- <br />age ditches In the District should be the responsibility of the <br />Board of Managers, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HE~.EBY RESOLVED, by the City Council <br />of the City of Arden Hills that the Board of County Commlssi.oners <br />of Ramsey County, Minnesota be and hereby Is urged and requested <br />to grant the Petition of the Board of Managers of the Rice Creek <br />Watershed District and to make an Order transferring to said <br />Board of Managers Ramsey County Dral nage Systems Nos. I, 2, 3, 4, <br />5, 8, II and 12. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk A~mlnlstrator be and <br />she hereby Is Instructed to cause a certified copy of this Resolu- <br />tion to be fi led with the Board of County Commissioners of Ramsey <br />County, Minnesota prior to February 4, 1974, the date on which a <br />public hearing on said Petition will take place, and to advise <br />said Board that this Resolution is a sta.tement of the City of <br />Arden HII Is' position with respect to said Petition in lieu of an <br />appearance by one of Its officials at said public hearing. <br /> <br />A~.~~ <br /> <br />Charlotte McNlesh, Clerk Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />this <br /> <br />Passed by the City Council of <br />28th day of January, 1974'. <br /> <br />ayor <br />
