<br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br />VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />... <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1,ff-1,;Z, <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE STATE AID <br />SPECIAL POLICE DEPARTMENT FUND, DESIG- <br />NATING THE PURPOSES FOR WHICH IT MAY <br />BE USED, AND PRESCRIBING CERTAIN DUTIES <br />WITH RESPECT 'l'HERETO FOR THE TREASURER <br />AND CLERK-ADMINISTRATOR. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Arden Hills has for more than <br />one year last past an organized police department established <br />by the Council, and therefore is qualified to receive State <br />Aid to Police funds from the State of Minnesota, pursuant to <br />M.S.A. S69.011, Subdivision 4{2), and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Village, because its Police Department does <br />not have a duly incorporated Police Relief Association, is <br />required to establish a SpeciaL Police Department Fund into <br />which said State Aid to Police funds and tax are to be paid <br />pursuant to M.S.A. S69.031, Subdivision 5(2), <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RES,OLVED, by the Council of the <br />Village of Arden Hills that there be and there hereby is <br />established in the Village treasury a separate fund to be <br />known as the "Special Police Department Fund" into which the <br />Village Treasurer be and he hereby is directed to pay all State <br />Aid to Police funds and tax received by him within 30 days <br />after receipt thereof. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the monies in said Special ~ <br />Police Department Fund be and they hereby are authorized to be~w4 <br />for all purpose,s. either directly or indirectly related to the <br />operations, activities, and functions,of the Village Police <br />Department. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Village Clerk-Administrator <br />be and ~he hereby is authorized and directed, on or before <br />March 1 annually, to certify to the Ramsey County Auditor and <br />the Minnesota Commissioner of Insurance, on forms prescribed <br />by them, that the Village has a duly organized Police Department <br />and has established a Special Police Department Fund and such <br />other facts as the Commissioner or the Auditor may require. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Clerk-Adrninis- <br />istrator be and they hereby are authorized and directed to <br />cause certified copies of thci..s,'Resolution to be forwarded to <br />the Ramsey County Auditor and the Minnesota Commissioner of <br />Insurance, and to such other offices as may be deemed necessary <br />for the purpose of carrying out the provisions hereof. <br /> <br />Dated at Arden HillS, Minnesota" "~~ 1973. <br />/.......-:-,.. <br />" <br /> <br /> <br />Attest: <br /> <br />,~f1?k~ <br /> <br />Charlotte McNiesh <br />Acting Clerk-Administrator <br />
