CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA 2024 BUDGET <br />Function: General Government Fund # 101 <br />Activity: Administration Activity # 41300 <br />Activity Scope <br />City Administration provides the overall direction of the City, as determined by the City Council. The City <br />Administrator serves as Chief Administrative Officer for the City, ensuring that laws, ordinances, and resolutions <br />of the City Council are enforced and implemented. The Administration Department is responsible for <br />administering Council policies, coordinating Council agendas, and providing support to other functional areas <br />within the City. <br />Objectives <br />1. Assist City Council in setting policies and procedures in accordance with Council's position. <br />2. Provide direction and leadership on major city projects, budget management, oversee performance evaluations <br />and long-range planning. <br />Issues <br />1. Long-range planning to maintain current City services while creating funding sources for reserves. <br />2. Long-range comprehensive TCAAP planning. <br />Budget Commentary <br />The 2024 Administration budget is increasing by 20.5% over 2023. The increase in personnel services is due to <br />step, COLA, insurance benefit increases and an increase in fte's.
