<br />permits a ~unlclpal council to inItIate a proceedIng to vacate ,any
<br />street, al ~ey, publ ic grouhds, public way, or any part thereof, and

<br />WHEREAS, 'f1l'te City Council of the City of Arden Hills
<br />desires to Ildetermlne whether It would be In the public Interes,t
<br />to vacate 'ftjhatportlon of th,e former state trunk highWay, rlght-of-
<br />way easement, now held by the CIty, described In ExhIbit "A"
<br />attached h~reto and made a part hereof, which lies easterly of
<br />the easter~y right-of-way I ineof Rldgewood Road as that road Is
<br />presently ~ocated,

<br />Jow, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City CouncIl of
<br />the CIty ot Arden HI I Is, a quorum thereof being present, that a
<br />proceedIng I,pursuant to SectIon 412.851 of ~1lnnesota Statutes,
<br />asamended~i be Initiated In order t,o determIne whether It would
<br />be In the plubllc Interest to vacate the foregoing portion of

<br />descrlptlo~s of those portions of saId right-of-way which the
<br />Council de~lres to determine would be In the public Inte,rest to

<br />~E IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk~Admlnlstrator arid
<br />the City A~torney,after the City Attorney's receipt of the
<br />aforesaId I';egal descriptIons frOm the City Engineer, be and they
<br />hereby are llauthorlzed to, cause a Notice of Public Hearing to be
<br />publIshed ~n the New BrlghtonBul letln and to be posted In at
<br />least thre~ (31 of the most public places In the City, for at
<br />lease two D2), weeks prIor to the date of said public hearing,
<br />all In accdrdance with the provisions of Section 412.851 of
<br />Minnesota ~tatutes, as amended.

<br />hereby autKorlzed and, dIrected to cause certIfied caples of
<br />this Resol~tlon to be served upon those owners of properties
<br />abuttIng t~ose portions of the former state trunk highway ,
<br />rlght-of-w~yWhlch the City Council desires to determIne would
<br />be In the ~ubllc Interest to vacate.
