ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL—AUGUST 28, 2023 5 <br /> Public Works Director Swearingen provided the Council with an update on the Lexington <br /> Avenue project. He reported Lexington Avenue was now open to traffic but will have intermittent <br /> outside lane closures as the contractor completes trail and restoration work. He noted Red Fox <br /> Road would be closed on the west side of the intersection of Lexington Avenue on September 5 <br /> for concrete panel work. <br /> Public Works Director Swearingen stated the roundabout at County Road E and Old Snelling <br /> was open for traffic in all directions. He reported the site was still active with construction traffic <br /> and he urged residents to usecaution when traveling through this intersection. <br /> Councilmember Holden asked if the City maximized the bond for Lexington Avenue. <br /> Public Works Director Swearingen reported the bond was not maximized. <br /> Councilmember Holden suggested a request be made to maximize the bond in order to assist <br /> with covering the expense for the watermain work. <br /> Public Works Director Swearingen stated he would investigate this further. <br /> g g <br /> Mayor Grant reported he drove through the roundabout this evening and noted it was a very <br /> active intersection that would have ongoing construction.
