<br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-72 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION INITIATING VACATION OF CERTAIN ROADS IN <br />SHADY OAKS ADDITION AND AUTHORIZING CLERK-ADMINISTRATOR TO <br />PUBLISH AND POST NOTICES OF PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 412.851 of Minnesota Statutes, as <br />amended, permits a municipal council to initiate a proceeding to <br />vacate any street, alley, public grounds, public way, or any part <br />thereof, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arden Hills <br />desires to determine whether it would be in the public interest <br />to vacate certain roads in the plat of Shady Oaks Addition, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of <br />the City of Arden Hills, a quorum thereof being present, a <br />proceeding pursuant to Section 412.851 of Minnesota Statutes, as <br />amended, be and it hereby is initiated in order to determine <br />whether it would be in the public interest to vacate certain <br />roads in the plat of Shady Oaks Addition. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk-Administrator <br />and the City Engineer be and they hereby are authorized to cause <br />a notice of public hearing to determine the public interest in <br />said vacation to be published in the New Brighton Bulletin and to <br />be posted in at least three (3) of the most public places in the <br />City, for at least two (2) weeks prior to the date of said public <br />hearing, all in accordance with the provisions of Section 412.851 <br />of Minnesota Statutes, as amended. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk-Administrator be <br />and she hereby is authorized and directed to cause certified <br />copies of this Resolution to be served upon those owners of <br />properties abutting the roads to be vacated. <br /> <br />Passed by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills <br />this 13th day of October, 1981. <br /> <br /> <br />. ~~~~ <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />Attest: <br /> <br />~fi}4~ <br /> <br />Charlotte McN1esh, <br />Clerk-Administrator <br /> <br />',,,.,' <br />
