<br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-55 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OPPOSING PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT <br />FOR LAKE ACCESS AT LAKE JOSEPHINE PARK <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Ramsey County Commissioners authorized the <br />Ramsey County Parks and Recreation Department to submit a preliminary <br />grant application for LAWCON funding of lake access facil ities at Lake <br />Josephine Park, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said appl ication has received a high rating, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey County Parks and Recreation Department has <br />requested City Input on said proposed improvement, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council and Planning Commission have reviewed <br />the proposal, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a number of Arden Hills citizens, whose residences are <br />located on the shores of Lake Josephine, participated in the Council <br />deliberations at the August lOth Council meeting, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council recognizes the potenti~1 safety hazard <br />resu Iting from Increased boat traffic,. and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council feels that the gain to the County In added <br />recreational facilities is very smal I, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Arden Hills Council opposes <br />the proposed lake access at Lake Josephine Park, and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that certified copies of this Resolution <br />be transmitted to Robert Orth, Chairman of the Board of Ramsey County Com- <br />missioners, City of Roseville and Ramsey County Parks and Recreation <br />Department. <br /> <br />Passed by the Arden Hil Is City Council this <br /> <br />~ / J day of August 1981. <br /> <br />Robert L.
