ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MINUTES NOVEMBER 18, 2002 5 Dave Hamernick said that General Andreotti's comment [from the Anl1Y National Guard] was to sce that the northern area of the site remain open spacc, and bccausc there is forty acres available, the building could be located close to the proposed Ramsey County Maintenancc facility. He also mentioncd that a State Area Command facility is planned for the future somewhere north of Sunfish Lake. He noted that the Army Reserve has also indicated an interest in the site. Mayor Probst requcsted the Council direct staff arrange a meeting with himself, Mayor-Elect Aplikowski, Representativc McCollum, a representative from Ramsey County, General Andreotti and Administrator Lynch. 4.A Citv Commission/Committee Appointments Administrator Lynch presented an overview of the City committees and commissions and requested direction from the Council to reappoint membcrs who have expressed a dcsire to return to those positions. Councilmember Aplikowski said she likes the idea of having the Communications Committee and thc Website Task Force join as one committee. She suggested the Council also interview candidates to fill the vacancy on the Council early in J an uary . Council Reports: Councilmember Grant reminded the Council of the Ramsey County Leaguc of Local Governments Annual Meeting and Recognition Event at the Lido Cafe in Roseville on December 12,2002. Councilmember Larson said the PTRC would be meeting next week, and complimented the newly installed Arden Hills Parks signage. Councilmember Rem presented an arsenal survey and a TCCAP wildlife corridor handout prepared by Joan Galli. Councilmember Aplikowski said the Events Committee has set the Day in thc Park Event for the last week in June of 2003. She said it had been a busy two weeks and had also been lobbied by many people conccrning the vacancy on the City Council.
