<br />. <br /> <br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - JULY 30,2001 <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br />Mayor Probst stated the Housing Resource Center was up and running. He noted there would be <br />a change in address and telephone number when it moved into its Shoreview location. He added <br />the Resource Center staff was preparing a press release. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst stated they needed an update on the home occupation on New Brighton Road. He <br />noted the I-35W Corridor Coalition published a year one summary report on the work done so <br />far. He added it was available to council members. He referenced the letter from Ms. Nancy <br />Hanson. He stated everyone who participated in the event felt it was wonderful. He noted a way <br />to continue something down the road would be a plus. He added there was good attendance and <br />positive comments. He stated National Night Out was August 7,2001. <br /> <br />Councilmember Aplikowski stated they have heard people want to do it every year. She noted it <br />cost about $10,000 to do regular day in the park. She added they could step up the amenities and <br />fireworks for about $20,000. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst stated the City of Arden Hills was losing $100,000 in state aid money. He noted <br />other communities faced other tough issues. He added the total amount lost in the seven (7) <br />I-35W Corridor Coalition communities was over $6 million. <br /> <br />Mr. Lynch stated the budget schedule would be discussed in each ofthe August meetings. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst stated he was scheduled to be out oftown the middle two weeks of August. <br /> <br />.
