I I I I I I I Ie I I I I I I I I- I MORN IDLLS CITY COWCIL - MAY 30. 1995 6 MOTION: MaIone moved and Hicks seconded a motion to direct staff to continue negotiations working toward an agreement connecting the Arden Manor Waters System with the City Water System. The motion carried unanimously (5-0). Planning Case 95-14. Valentine HiIl~ Elementary - Amended SUP Planning Consultant Bergly briefly reviewed the request by the School District to amend their SUP for the purpose of undertaking major site plan revisions. Mr. Bergly described the revisions using overhead transparencies. Mr. Bergly indicated the Planning Commission recommended approval of the amended SUP subject to the conditions identified in the Staff report, including the addition of a fifth condition which requires semi-annual maintenance of the "Grit Chambers". Mr. Bergly noted there were concerns that the ball fields would not be available for the summer, but the southern ball field can be accessed by the foot path or Chatham Avenue. But the school campus will be closed off during construction. Councilmernber Malone asked in regards to parent drop off, if the flow would be counter clockwise and conflict with bus traffic. Mr. Bergly indicated it would flow counter clockwise, it will intersect with buses, but there will only be 13 buses. Councilmember Hicks inquired as to the "Grit Chambers". Engineer Stonehouse indicated a "Grit Chamber" is a box that would hold five feet of dead storage, permitting oil to rise to the top and sediment to the bottom. Councilmember Hicks inquired as to access to the "Grit Chambers". Mr. Stonehouse indicated this would be obtained through manholes. Councilmember Hicks expressed concern for security of the manhole entrances. Mr. Stonehouse indicated the manholes could be bolted. The engineer for the project indicated when the location is near a school they spot weld the cover, which seems to be more secure. MOTION: Malone moved and Keim seconded a motion to approve Planning Case 95-14, Valentine Hills Elementary-Amended SUP. The motion carried unanimously (5-0). Adopt Resolution 95-36. Authorizing Application for Conveyance of Tax Forfeit Land. MOTION: Malone moved and ApIikowski seconded a motion to adopt Resolution 95-36, Authorizing Application for Conveyance of Tax Forfeit Land. The motion carried unanimously (5-0).
