AGENDA ITEM — 3F 'It ,ARZEN HILLS MEMORANDUM DATE: January 8, 2024 TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers FROM: Dave Perrault, City Administrator SUBJECT: Worksession Priorities Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: N/A N/A N/A For Council Consideration Council should consider providing further direction on future worksession priorities. Background The City Council has requested items for discussion at future worksessions, Staff would like to take this opportunity to plan for 2024 and what items Council views as a priority and what it does not. Staff will then begin to work the higher priority items into upcoming worksessions sooner while putting the lower priority items to later discussions. Please note, this does not reflect all items at worksessions as Staff will have necessary items for discussion, such as, budget discussions, concept plan reviews, or Public Works projects that need timely direction. This list may not represent all items Council has requested, and items can certainly be added. Staff would like Council to review this at each worksession so Council understands what items are upcoming and where recently discussed items will land on the list. It should be noted that these items may require one or multiple meetings and some will be more staff intensive than others. Staff would recommend rating each item with a High, Medium, or Low Priority or Council can develop its own prioritization method. This list of items can be found in Attachment A. If Council would like to review this at each worksession, Staff would also provide the draft agenda items to ensure Council agrees with the next session topics. This will likely change often, especially in the first quarter of the year if we only meet once a month, but it will at least give Council input on upcoming worksession discussions. Page 1 of 2
