He noted if the benefits are fully funded by the Fire Department, the City <br /> I does not have to approve the increase. If not fully funded the City needs to approve. The City <br /> needs to be aware of the funding levels. However, he did note, if the pension fund was under <br /> covered by the Fire Department, the City would be liable for some of the shortfall. <br /> I Mayor Probst indicated he received a notice from the Chamber of Commerce of the annual State <br /> I of Cities breakfast on January 10th and he wished to have someone attend in his absence. <br /> Mayor Probst indicated Minnesota Amateur Sport Committee in Blaine is looking for sponsors <br /> I for ice sheets located in Blaine. He noted the City will probably be approached, so Council <br /> could review this issue at a later date. <br /> I Mayor Probst noted also the Valentine Hills Elementary School has a playground fundraiser, and <br /> may be approaching the City for funding. <br /> I Mayor Probst inquired as to communication to the neighborhood regarding Karth Lake outflow <br /> alternatives. Pubic Works Superintendent Stafford indicated no communication had been made <br /> I. thus far. Mr. Probst encourages Staff to proceed with disseminating this information. <br /> Mayor Probst indicated the AMM has request nominations to the Board and inquired if any <br /> Council member was interested. With Mr. Malone's concurrence he would like to forward <br /> I Council member Malone's name as a nominee. <br /> I Mayor Probst indicated he felt the City must take a more outward approach to government and <br /> continue relationships within the area. <br /> I City Attorney Filla indicated the purpose of the Closed Executive Session immediately following <br /> the regular Council meeting, was to review litigation involving: <br /> I Tavernier versus the City of Arden Hills <br /> Woo versus the City of Arden Hills <br /> Wilson versus the City of Arden Hills <br /> I Jones versus the City of Arden Hills <br /> Crichton versus the City of Arden Hills <br /> Pharo versus the City of Arden Hills <br /> I <br /> . <br /> .e <br /> I <br />
