<br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2023-060 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO SUBMIT <br />A 2024 REGIONAL SOLICITATION <br />SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL INFRASTRUCTURE GRANT APPLICATION <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills supports the application made to the Metropolitan <br />Council for a 2024 Regional Solicitation Safe Routes to School Infrastructure Grant, a part of the <br />Regional Solicitation for Transportation Projects Program, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the application is to obtain funding for a project to construct a new 10’ paved <br />trail along the west side of Old Highway 10 between Lake Valentine Road, and Highway 96 in <br />Arden Hills; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County has acknowledged this segment is in alignment with the <br />County’s All Abilities Transportation Network, and the County has included the project in its 2025 <br />Transportation Improvement Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills accepts the responsibility for an amount equal to or <br />greater than 20% of the eligible project construction costs, including design, construction, <br />construction engineering, administration, rights-of-way, and peripheral project costs. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden <br />Hills, Minnesota, that if awarded a grant by the Metropolitan Council, the City of Arden Hills <br />agrees to accept the award and may enter into an agreement with the Metropolitan Council for the <br />above-referenced project. The City of Arden Hills will comply with all applicable laws, <br />requirements and regulations as stated in the grant agreement. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution will be provided to the <br />Metropolitan Council Transportation Advisory Board with the Project submittal. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
