Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEM – 8B <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: December 11, 2023 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />FROM: Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br />SUBJECT: 2024 Non-Union Employee Compensation Plan <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br />N/A N/A N/A <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br />Motion to approve, table or deny the following: <br />• 2024 non-union employee compensation plan. <br /> <br />Background <br />Annually, the City Council evaluates its compensation plan and determines if a cost of living <br />adjustment (COLA) is appropriate. The 2024 budget was prepared with a 3.0% increase for non- <br />union employees and a 3.0% increase for I.O.U.E. union members. <br /> <br />The seasonal employee compensation plan has been reviewed by staff and adjustments have been <br />made where applicable. Significant adjustments were recommended by the Public Works <br />Department regarding their seasonal employees and ensuring we are competitive with <br />neighboring jurisdictions. These increases have been accounted for in the proposed budget. <br /> <br />Attached for Council approval are the compensation plans for January 1, 2024, for non-union <br />employees as well as the proposed 2024 seasonal employee compensation plan. <br /> <br />Budget Impact <br />The rates have been reflected in the proposed 2024 budget. <br /> <br />Attachments <br />Attachment A: Proposed 2024 Non-Union Employee Compensation Plan <br />Attachment B: Proposed 2024 Seasonal Compensation Plan <br /> <br />
