Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br />DATE: August 21, 2023 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Julie Hanson, Assistant to the City Administrator/City Clerk <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Appointment of Economic Development Commission (EDC) Members <br /> <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> <br /> Council Should Consider <br />Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br /> <br />• Resolution 2023-041 Appointing Katherine Schneider as the Youth Commissioner to the <br />EDC and Resolution 2023-042 Appointing Sreya Subramanian to the EDC as a regular <br />member. <br /> <br />Background <br />Per Ordinance, the Economic Development Commission is to be comprised of nine (9) regular <br />members, four (4) of which must be residents. <br /> <br />At its July 10, 2023, meeting, the City Council adopted Ordinance 2023-007, adding one additional <br />member to serve to the Economic Development Commission in the capacity as Youth Commissioner. <br /> <br />Interviews have been conducted that included Economic Development Commission Councilmember <br />liaison Emily Rousseau, Staff liaison Senior Planner Elena Fransen and Community Development <br />Director Jessica Jagoe.
