MJ:NU'l'ES CITY OF ARDEN BILLS, MJ:NNESOTA WOUSESSION January 10, 1994 6:00 P.M. - New Brighton city Ball CALL '1'0 ORDER/ROLL CALL Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Acting Mayor Probst called to order the city Council worksession at 6:11 p.m. Present: Councilmembers Beverly Aplikowski, Dale HiCks, and Paul Malone. Mayor Sather arrived at 6:13 p.m and presided over the remainder of the meeting. Also present were: City Accountant, Terry Post; Community Planning Coordinator, Brian Fritsinger; Public Works Superintendent, Dan Winkel; Park & Recreation Director, Cynthia Severtson, City Administrator, Dorothy Person; and Recording Secretary, Renee Kaulfuss. ADOPT AGENDA Hicks moved, seconded by Malone, to adopt the January 10, 1994 worksession agenda as submitted. Motion carried unanimously (5-0). REVIEW COMMJ:TTEES/COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS FOR 1994 MOTION: Councilmember Aplikowski and Councilmember Probst have discussed the possibility of switching their Council Liaison appointments to the Public Works and Human Rights Committees. Due to conflicting scheduling, the Wednesday evening Human Rights Commission meeting is an inconvenient evening meeting for Councilmember Probst. Councilmember Aplikowski is agreeable to be the Council Liaison for the Human Rights commission and Councilmember Probst is agreeable to be the Council Liaison for the Public Works Committee. Mayor Sather was acceptable with this arrangement and added that if Councilmembers Malone and Hicks would like to switch their designated appointments to the Finance and Planning Commissions, this too would be acceptable with him. Discussion followed and both Councilmembers agreed to remain on their currently appointed committees. Councilmember Aplikowski stated she would be attending the January Public Works Committee meeting as she had agenda items she was currently working on that she would like to complete.
