<br />. <br />. <br />.- <br />. <br />. <br />. <br />. <br />. <br />I <br />I. <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I- <br />I <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />March 14, 1994 <br />7:30 P.M. - New Brighton City Hall <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDF.R IROJ ,L CALL <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Sather <br />called to order the City Council meeting at 7:30 p.m. <br />Present: Councilmembers Beverly Aplikowski, Dale Hicks, <br />Dennis Probst and Paul Malone. Also present were: City <br />Engineer, Terry Maurer; Public Works Superintendent, Dan <br />Winkel; City Accountant, Terry Post; City Administrator, <br />Dorothy Person; and Recording Secretary, Renee Kaulfuss. <br /> <br />ADOPT AGENDA <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Aplikowski, to adopt the <br />March 14, 1994 agenda as presented. Motion carried <br />unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />PTlRT,Tr' HEARING - 1994 PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE <br />IMPROVEMENT PRO,TF.CT <br /> <br />Mayor Sather opened the public hearing at 7:31 pm for the <br />purpose of conducting a public hearing on the 1994 <br />Pavement Maintenance Improvement project. He stated the <br />purpose of this hearing was to receive input with regard <br />to the 1994 Pavement Maintenance Program. He explained <br />the procedure for the hearing would be that the Public <br />Works Superintendent would make a presentation with <br />regard to the 1994 Pavement Maintenance Program, then <br />Council and the public would be invited to comment or ask <br />questions. He instructed anyone wishing to speak to sign <br />the guest register, after which their names would be <br />called in the order listed. <br /> <br />Public Works Superintendent Dan Winkel explained the <br />Street Rating Schedule which is based on scores from 0- <br />100. Winkel further explained that rating of City <br />streets involves periodic examinations to determine the <br />condition of the streets and then a recommendation to <br />Council is made by the City Engineer, with input from the. <br />Public Works Department, as to the best available means <br />of protecting each street and extending its useful life. <br /> <br />Winkel noted the streets being proposed for improvement: <br />
