<br />Minutes of the Arden Hills Regu <br />Page 10 <br /> <br />Council Meeting, June 13, 1988 <br /> <br />. -' <br /> <br />CLK.ADMIN (Cont'd) Acting Clerk Administrator McNiesh stated she would <br />attempt to contact two employers at the City of Big Lake <br />for references, contact Mornson to advise him of Council appointment and <br />discussion relative to the employment agreement, contact neighboring communities <br />to review any employment contracts they have in effect, and report to Council. 4It <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />TRAFFIC SIGNAL; <br />COUNTY ROAD E <br /> <br />Councilmember Winiecki questioned if a report had been <br />received from the County Traffic Engineer regarding the <br />request for a traffic signal on County Road E. <br /> <br />McNiesh reported she had sent a letter to Ramsey County and an excerpt of the <br />Council minutes containing the discussion of this matter; the letter contained a <br />request for a representative from the County to appear at the regular Council <br />meeting held July 25, 1988. She stated confirmation had not been received to <br />date. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ACTING CLERK ADMINISTRATOR <br /> <br />INVESTMENTS <br /> <br />Acting Clerk Administrator McNiesh reported the following <br />investments: <br /> <br />6-9-88 - $1,209,814.67 invested in Treasury Bill to mature 6-8-89 at 7.36% at <br />Kidder Peabody. <br /> <br />Hansen moved, seconded by Winiecki, that Council ratify ~ <br />the investments as reported. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />McNiesh reported that Mr. Hite's office would be <br />receiving quotes for health insurance from Blue Cross <br />and Bankers Life. She has been in contact with Steve <br />Treanor from Hite's office and he advised the quotes m~y be available by the end <br />of June, however, the underwriting of the policy could not be accomplished prior <br />to July 1st. Treanor suggested Arden Hills renew the current health insurance for <br />July to allow time to review the quotes received. <br /> <br />STATUS RPT; <br />HEALTH INS. <br /> <br />Council concurred with the recommendation and requested McNiesh to report on this <br />matter as information is received. <br /> <br />PERMITS; CLASS C <br />FIREWORKS <br /> <br />Council was referred to the two requests to purchase <br />Class C fireworks and display them on the evening of <br />7/3/88. <br /> <br />Hansen moved, seconded by Peck, that Council approve the <br />permits for Class C fireworks for North Lake Josephine Improvement Association <br />and 1294 Ingerson Road as requested. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />CLAIMS & PAYROLL <br /> <br />Hansen Moved, seconded by Winiecki, that Council approve <br />Claims and Payroll as submitted. Motion carried <br />unanimously.
