<br /> NOTICE OF WATER AND SEWER UTILITY RATE CHANGES <br /> EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 1987 <br /> The Finance Committee recently reviewed current water and sewer utility rates, <br /> . comparing the rates charged with the costs incurred in providing you with these <br /> services. It found: (1) sewer rates have not been increased since 1981; costs <br /> to Metropolitan Waste Control Commission have increased 15% in that time;, (2) <br /> water rates have not been increased since 1984; operating costs, caused <br /> -- primarily by an increase in costs of water purchased from St. Paul, have <br /> -- increased 15% in that time also.
