Lexington Avenue Bridge - There will be a pre-construction meeting at <br /> MNDot District 9 Office, in the large conference room, on Friday, February <br /> 27 at 9:30 a.m. Bob Raddatz and Barry Peters will be attending this to <br /> receive and give input on behalf of Arden Hills. The anticipated <br /> construction starting date is March 16, with a scheduled completion date <br /> of September 19. <br /> 2. Appeals: Grev Fox Road: Rob Plunkett has advised it is his <br /> recommendation that a traffic study be conducted on Grey Fox Road, based <br /> on his opinion that this would lend credence to our case in proving <br /> benefit of the improvement to properties. Anticipated cost is $300.00. <br />. Unless the Council advises otherwise, I will inform Mr. Plunkett to <br /> proceed. Appraisals are now being done by the respective experts. The <br /> trial date will be late Spring. <br />- 3. Cable Service: A listing of new streets (developments) was presented <br />'WI' to the Cable Committee at their meeting of January 29. No cable <br /> construction was done during 1986 due to the pending sale of the firm; Mr. <br />. Bauer advised the committee it was expected that all new areas desiring <br /> cable will be given service this summer. <br /> 4. Telephone System: Our new phone system is now (as of 2/20) totally <br /> operational, with the addition of one line. A training session in proper <br /> usage of the new system was given to all employees. <br /> 5. Fire Station #4, Special Legislation: The bill is being heard by the <br /> Local and Urban Affairs Committee; the House hearing is at noon, next <br /> Thursday, the 26th, and the Senate hearing will be the following Monday. <br /> Rep. G. Voss and Sen. Steve Novak have authored the bill. <br /> Shoreview's attorney and Schoonover's attorney are still working on <br /> details of the land option agreement. <br /> 6. Comparable Worth: I met with all the employees on February 19 to <br /> discuss with them the process followed by MAMA and Control Data Business <br /> Advisors in implementing and administering the study; where we're at with <br /> the study now; the role of the Appeals Committee; and a general view of <br /> our next steps. The Parks and Recreation and Public Works employees will <br /> work together to appoint one member to the Appeals Committee. Therefore, <br /> the committee will consist of Charlotte McNiesh (technical), Mayor <br />.-f Woodburn (Council liaison), Pat Morrison and the representative from Parks <br /> and Public Works. <br />- <br />. <br /> - <br />
