Hi~hway 96/Hamline: The minutes of this special meeting are enclosed. <br />Discussion centered around future needs (fire station and municipal <br />facilities expansion) and costs. Those present also discussed the <br />future of the Arsenal property. Jim Lynden's memo is enclosed, and he <br />will be at the meeting to discuss this further and answer any <br />questions you may. have. <br /> <br />6. Case No. 87-20, 3721 New Bri~hton Road: Orlyn will be present at the <br />meeting to discuss all Planning Commission cases. This lot split and <br />consolidation was recommended for approval by the Planning Commission <br />contingent upon submission of a recordable survey. <br /> <br />7. Case No. 87-21, 1275 Red Fox Road: The Planning Commission <br />recommended denial of the site coverage variance (the Board of Appeals <br />had a split vote on this variance), and recommended increased parking <br />to the rear of the building. <br /> <br />. 8. Case No. 87-22. Red Fox Road and Lexin~ton Avenue: The Town Crier <br />restaurant is being converted to a Perkins restaurant. The Planning <br />Commission recommended approval of the amended site plan, contingent <br />upon construction of a trash storage area and compliance with the <br />landscape plan submitted. <br /> <br />NOTE: The Reeves site, (discussed for construction of eight 4-unit <br />buildings) is one of the sites Orlyn had looked at as a possible site for <br />a future fire station. <br /> <br />9. Case No. 87-18, Arden Hills Club: The Council heard this case on July <br />13, and continued the matter "to allow the Fire Chief time to review <br />the Uniform Fire Code...air supported structures...Planner review <br />typical heights...". Dan Winkel and Orlyn will present the <br />information Monday night. <br /> <br />10. Solid Waste Mana~ement Committee: This is an ad hoc subcommittee, of <br />the Public Safety/Works Committee, set up to review, study and <br />recommend a recycling program for Arden Hills. Paul Malone will be <br />present to discuss their meeting. (Nancy Hansen, Council liaison) <br /> <br />11. Treasurer's Report: The City received the May tax settlement, in the <br />amount of $654,321.14; Don has invested $450,000 of this. <br /> <br />13. Apportionment Resolutions, Res. Nos. 87-34 and 35: The resolutions <br />. are to apportion assessments against North Heights Lutheran Church and <br />
