The painters estimate it will take one month to paint it. <br />Water Meter TaRs are being prepared, and will be distributed at the next meter <br />readings in three months. <br />Seal CoatinR - Committee asked if Raddatz intends to do any sealcoating; noted <br />that if he doesn't begin soon, it'll be too late in the year; last year's <br />sealcoating was done a little too late. He stated SEH had suggested he wait <br />until completion of the Pavement Management Plan, which should be ready soon; <br />is in the computer now. <br />Committee ResiRnation <br />Dave McClung announced his resignation from the committee; he is leaving the <br />area to attend college in Illinois. Committee congratulated him, and thanked <br />him for his contribut~ons this past year. <br />Council Report <br />Mayor Woodburn discussed the possible purchase of land nex~ to the City Hall. <br />Committee felt some additional land probably essential to house Public Works <br />vehicles; questioned if purchase of the entire parcel was needed; thought this <br />a good location for a future fire station; however, felt Bethel location would <br />be equally good. <br />He also reported the six month extension of the current fire contract, to allow <br />time for additional negotiation for new contract. <br />Ad;ournment . <br />The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m. <br />Submitted by Shirley Marshall. <br />********** <br />THE NEXT REGULAR MEETING OF THE PUBLIC SAFETY/WORKS COMMITTEE WILL BE HELD <br />AUGUST 20, 1987, AT THE VILLAGE HALL. <br /> . <br />.- <br />
