I am 40 years old, and have lived in Arden Hills approximately 32 years -the last 7~ years at my present location. I am recently divorced and have one son living with me (Brian -12) . I have one daughter (Amanda -9) living with my ex-wife. I graduated from Mounds View H.S. in 1964. In March,1968 I recieved my A.A. from the University of Minnesota. I recieved my B.S. degree from the University of Minnesota in June, 1971 majoring in Physical Education. While at Minnesota, I earned a varsity letter in swimming. I am presently working for Murphy Warehouse Co. in Minneapolis in the position of truck driver. I have worked for Murphy for the last 14~ years. I am currently the Investment Manager, and am on the Credit Committee for the E.L. Murphy Credit union. These posts I have held for about 3 years. I have been a member of the Graduate M Club for about 15 years. I have been involved with the Boy Soouts of America for the last 4~ years. I have been a Den Leader for 1 year, a Cubmaster for 2 years, a patrol father for 1 year, I am currently a patrol father, Water Front Director for troop 419, and a swimming and life saving merit badge counselor for the Indianhead Council I belong to Nativity Lutheran Church where I have served on the Stewardship Committee,taught . Sunday School, and am presently serving as an Usher. After my father passed away I managed his liquor store until my mother was able to take over. I also have coached the Benilde H.S. Swim Team, which finished in 3 rd. place in the private school state meet. I was the Pool Director for the Catholic Order of Foresters Camp in Anoka during the summer of 1971. I feel I am in a unique position where I could represent the working class or business community with equal fairness. I feel that some of the classes taken at the University of Minnesota and some of the experiences 1 have had, would help me to be especially understanding with other people's feelings and problems. the reason I am chasing to become actively involved in the community at tfuis time is that the issues of the divorce are finally finished, and I now have some stability in my life.
