Attachment C <br />,-iRZEN HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: December 18, 2023 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />FROM: Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br />SUBJECT: 2024 Collective Bargaining Agreement — IUOE 49 <br />Budgeted Amount: Estimated Amount: <br />N/A <br />Council Should Consider <br />N/A <br />Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br />Funding Source: <br />N/A <br />2024 Collective Bargaining Agreement with the International Union of Operating <br />Engineers Local 49. <br />Background <br />Representatives of City Staff and the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local <br />49 have reached a tentative agreement pending Council approval on the 2024 Collective <br />Bargaining Agreement (CBA). IUOE 49 represents the City's maintenance workers and is made <br />up of eight employees. The current contract expires at the end of this year, and over the past few <br />months representatives have been negotiating a new contract. The City intends to start a <br />compensation study in early 2024, as a result, Staff and Union reps are proposing a one year <br />contract to get us through 2024, and start new negotiations next year on a three-year contract, <br />which will take the compensation study into consideration. <br />The proposal for Council to consider is keeping all of the existing language the same, with the <br />exception of the following changes: <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
