<br />. 1988 APPTMTS (Cont'd) Councilman Peck suggested the Mayor consider Tim Byrne
<br />i:i for appointment as Chair on the Human Rights Commission:
<br />Mayor Woodburn concurred and requested Peck contact Byrne to confirm his interest
<br />in serving as Chairperson.
<br />
<br />~ Councilman Sather noted that Thomas Mulcahy had requested Sather advise Council
<br />of Mulcahy's interest in serving on a Village Committee/Commission: a letter of
<br />interest was submitted by Mulcahy earlier in the year.
<br />
<br />No formal Council action was taken on this matter.

<br />REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR
<br />
<br />RES. #87-74; Clerk Administrator Morrison reported on the 1987 budget
<br />REV.1987 BUDGET modifications and transfers; such modifications relate to
<br />decrease of general property taxes to reflect Homestead
<br />Credit: decrease streets, due to Public Works Salaries, Capital Outlay,
<br />Sealcoating and Storm Sewers, and increase sewer utilities, amounts for each line
<br />item are outlined in Resolution No. 87-74.

<br />Moved by Peck, seconded by Winiecki, that Council approve
<br />Resolution No. 87-74: Revising 1987 Budget, as outlined in the resolution. Motion
<br />carried unanimously. (4-0)
<br />
<br />APPROVE 1988 Moved by Sather, seconded by Peck, that Council approve
<br />... BUS. LICENSES the 1988 Business Licenses, as outlined in the memorandum
<br />.., from Shirley Marshall, dated 12-22-87. Motion carried
<br />unanimously. (4-0)
<br />
<br />REQ. FOR SIGNAL: Council was referred to a letter from Ramsey County
<br />LEXINGTON AVE. & Public Works Department, 12-14-87, requesting approval
<br />COUNTY ROAD G-2 for installation of a traffic signal at Lexington Avenue
<br />and County Road G-2.
<br />
<br />Morrison advised Council that 100% of the cost would be funded with County State
<br />~id Highway funds: Council action requested was for site plan approval only.
<br />
<br />Sather moved, seconded by Peck, that Council authorize
<br />the Mayor to execute necesaary plan approval for instal~tion of traffic signal
<br />at the intersection of Lexington Avenue and County Road G-2; as requested from
<br />Ramsey County Department of Public Works. Motion carried unanimousLY. (4-0)
<br />
<br />REQ. TO ATTEND Council was referred to a request from the Deputy Clerk,
<br />COMPUTER TRNG. dated 12-23-87, to attend a Computer Training Course on
<br />January 13. 1988, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at
<br />Ameridata, at a cost of $90.00.

<br />the Deputy Clerk's attendance at the Computer Training Course, as outlined in her
<br />memorandum of 12-23-87. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0)
<br />
<br />CLAIMS Peck moved, seconded by Sather, that Council approve
<br />Claims, as submitted. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0)
<br />
<br />INS. CLAIM ADJUSTER The Clerk Administrator advised Council of the necessity
<br />of paying $275.00 to the League for Insurance Claim
<br />Adjuster fee, for sewer backup claim submitted by Robert Nielsen, in accordance
<br />with Bill Hite's interpretation and recommendation.
<br />
<br />Sather moved, seconded by Peck, that the meeting be
<br />adjourned at 10:50 p.m. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0)
