.'
Minutes of the Regulsr Council Meeting, November 30, 1987
Page 5
RES. #87-68 (Cont'd) Peck moved, seconded by Winiecki, that Council approve
Resolution No. 87-68, Establishing Permit Fees For
Certain Activities Which Operate For A Limited Time Period Or Are Of A Limited
Nature, and that the Tent Permit and Sidewalk Sale fees be set at $25 per day,
. plus any Village "out-of-pocket" costs. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0)
COMPUTER TRAINING Council was referred to Clerk Administrator's
VILLAGE EMPLOYEES memorandum of 11-18-87, regarding computer train~ng
sessions for Village Employees.
Morrison noted that the December 3rd session for Cathy Iago had been cancelled
and would be rescheduled for January 1988. She advised that there are funds
remaining in the 1987 budget for the training sessions.
Council questioned where the training would occur and time involved; Morrison
~dvised the sessions are held at Ameridata and are one-day sessions.
There was discussion relating to the basic computer training couraes for some
employeea; some Councilmembers suggested the courses may be too basic and
employees should consider different courses which would be more applicable to
their duties.
Morrison advised she had discussed the courses with the staff and determined
these classes would give the employees the background necessary, familiarity
with the computers, and "hands-on" experience. It is her opinion that the staff
members would be more comfortable with this type of introductory class.
. Council suggested that Darlene and Jane take the basic course and determine if
the class would be beneficial; if the course content is not determined to be
beneficial, that the Clerk Administrator review the list for a computer class
which would be more beneficial .
Moved by Hansen, seconded by Peck, that Council approve
the expenditure of $305.00 for Marshall, Lund and Scott to attend Computer
Training, and furthermore, approve the expenditure of of $105.00 for the Clerk
Administrator to attend the Introduction to Personal Computers course, if
determined worthwhile, or another computer training course which would appear
to be more beneficial. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0)
CLAIMS & PAYROLL Hansen moved, seconded by Peck, that Council approve
Claims and Payroll as submitted. Motion carried
unanimously.
