It <br />EN HILLS <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2023-014 <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13, <br />OF THE ARDEN HILLS CITY CODE <br />CONCERNING THE ACCESSORY USE OF <br />SOLAR ENERGY SYSTEMS <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA, ORDAINS: <br />SECTION 1. Chapter 13 —Zoning Code, Section 1380—TCAAP Redevelopment Code, <br />Subsection 5.1 —Applicability, is hereby amended by replacing the table in its entirety as follows: <br />1380-5.1 TRC Zoning District Land Use Table <br />See attached Attachment "A" for the Land Use Table with the addition of Solar Energy <br />Systems as an Accessory Use with Criteria in the NR-1,NR-2, and NR-3 Zoning Districts. <br />SECTION 2. Chapter 13 —Zoning Code, Section 1380—TCAAP Redevelopment Code, <br />Subsection 5.2 —Additional Use Criteria is hereby amended by replacing the table in its entirety <br />as follows: <br />1380-5.2 Additional Use Criteria Table <br />See attached Attachment `B" for the Additional Use Criteria Table with the addition of <br />Solar Energy Systems as an Accessory Use with Location&Design Criteria. <br />SECTION 3. Chapter 13 —Zoning Code, Section 1380—TCAAP Redevelopment Code, <br />Subsection 6.1 — General to All Zoning Districts is hereby amended by adding the underlined <br />language as follows: <br />h) Measuring Heights: <br />iii.Vents,tanks, solar energy systems,HVAC equipment,and other mechanical enclosures shall <br />be exempted from the height limits so long as they do not extend more than fifteen feet(15')above <br />the roof upon which they are located. Solar energy systems in NR-1, NR-2, and NR-3 are not <br />exempt from zoning district height limits.
