CALCULATOR Council was referred to a memorandum from Darlene <br />AND PAPER SHREDDER Scott (7-24-87), requesting the purchase of a Monroe <br />2125 calculator; she noted the calculator she was <br />presently using (a Texas Instruments Model) had several breakdowns and was not . <br />working at the present time. <br /> <br />Council was referred to a memorandum from Shirley Marshall, 7-23-87, relating <br />to the purchase of a paper shredder, to be used in conjunction with the records <br />retention schedule requirements for destroying obsolete records. She noted that <br />$900.00 was budgeted for this item for 1987; the price increased this year. <br /> <br />Hansen moved, seconded by Peck, that Council approve <br />the purchase of a Monroe calculator, in the amount of $149.00, and GBC paper <br />shredder, in the amount of $l,116.50; as recommended in the memorandum's of <br />Scott and Marshall. Motion carried unanimously. (3-0) <br /> <br />CLAIMS & PAYROLL <br /> <br />Hansen moved, seconded by Peck, that Council approve <br />Claims and Payroll as submitted. Motion carried. (3-0) <br /> <br />DAVE MC CLUNG; <br />RESIGNATION ' <br /> <br />Council was referred to Public Safety/Works Committee <br />minutes, 7-16-87, regarding the resignation of Dave <br />McClung. <br /> <br />Council concurred to accept Dave's resignation from the committee and directed <br />the Clerk Administrator to send a letter of appreciation for his dedication and <br />service to the Village. ... <br /> <br />DRAINAGE COMPLT. <br />TILLER/DELLWOOD <br /> <br />Council concurred to continue this matter to the next <br />regular Council meeting on August 10, 1987. <br /> <br />Councilmember Peck left the meeting at 10:00 p.m.. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />LEVEL OF LK. JOHANNA <br /> <br />Counci1member Hansen stated that she had recieved calls <br />from residents in the area of Lake Johanna expressing <br />concern about the level of the lake and questioning if <br />it is appropriate to close the lake.. <br /> <br />Hansen discussed the damage to docks and shorelines; questioned if the Clerk <br />Administrator or Mayor has the authority to close the lake. <br /> <br />Morrison stated she had discussed the matter with Jim Tolaas at Ramsey County; <br />Tolaas viewed the lake and determined the lake is at it's natural level. She <br />further stated that Tolaas advised the dOCkS may be too low. <br /> <br />REQ. SIGN PERMIT; <br />AMOCO/CO. RD. E <br /> <br />Clerk Administrator advised Council that a request for <br />a Special Event sign permit was received this date. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Council concurred to continue this matter to the next regular Council meeting <br />on August 10, 1987. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Moved by Hansen, seconded by Woodburn, that the meeting <br />be adjourned at 10:10 p.m. Motion carried.
