<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />PARKS, TRAILS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE MEETING <br />TUESDAY, JANUARY 23, 2024, 6:30 PM <br />ARDEN HILLS CITY HALL <br /> <br />CALL MEETING TO ORDER <br /> <br />Committee Chair Jill Anderson called the January 23, 2024 meeting of the Parks, Trails, and <br />Recreation Committee to order at 6:31 p.m. <br /> <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Chair Jill Anderson, Committee Members Nancy Jacobson, Dan Dietz, <br />Kerri Seemann, Lacy Loosbrock, Abigail Weber, Tim Nelson, Kate Olson, Emelia Rogers (arrived <br />at 7:20 pm) and Youth Committee Member Maeve Edgar <br /> <br />OTHERS PRESENT: Council Liaison Emily Rousseau and Recreation Supervisor Matt Johnson <br /> <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> <br />1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was unanimously approved. <br /> <br />2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />A. December 12, 2023 PTRC Minutes <br /> <br />Council Liaison Rousseau noted one change to Item 5B. <br /> <br />Youth Committee Member Edgar mentioned that Committee Member Weber was absent. <br /> <br />Committee Member Olson stated she was present but listed as absent. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Committee Member Olson and seconded by Committee Member <br />Dietz to approve the minutes as amended. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />3. REPORTS <br /> <br /> A. Council Liaison Update <br /> <br />Council Liaison Rousseau thanked Chair Anderson and Vice-Chair Olson for stepping into those <br />roles. She said Rice Creek Commons is moving forward with a maximum density of 1,960. Next <br />steps are to develop a main development plan. The spine road will most likely not be completed <br />until 2027. The developer is expected to spend about $16 million to build parks and green spaces. <br /> <br />Committee Member Olson thanked Committee Member Jacobson for attending that meeting and <br />making sure parks were mentioned in the TCAAP discussion. <br />
