FOR JOINT <br />COUNCIL MTG. <br />NORTH OAKS <br /> <br />Council wss referred to a letter from North Oaks <br />City Council, dated 4-9-87, requesting a Joint Council <br />Meeting to discuss fire protection services. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Council consensus was to continue this matter to the regular Council meeting of <br />April 27th. <br /> <br />NO PRKING. SIGNS <br />MOUNDS VIEW H. S . <br /> <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Peck questioned if all streets in the <br />area of Mounds View High School would have no parkinR <br />signa posted. <br /> <br />Clerk Administrator adVised that signs were ordered for all streets; Janet <br />Court wil1 be posted immediately and the other streets would be posted if the <br />parking situation warrants the signs or residents request them. <br /> <br />DANCES AT FLAHERTY'S <br />ARDEN BOWL; SUMMER <br /> <br />Clerk Administrator advised Council of the request to <br />hold teen dances during the summer months at Flaherty's <br />Arden Bowl. Morrison stated she had discussed the <br />matter with Commander Bergeron who advised the dances have been held in the <br />past and liquor laws do not prohibit this ac~ivity. The Attorney was also <br />contacted for his opinion relative to the liquor laws. <br /> <br />Council asked if there was a separate entrance for the teen dances; it was <br />determined that teens use the bowling facilities without entering the bar area. . <br />After discussion. Council concurred if problems arise the dances should be <br />discontinued. <br /> <br />REQ. FOR STREET <br />LIGHT: PRIOR AVE. <br /> <br />Council was referred to the letter from Ken and Kathy <br />McIntosh, 1929 Jerrold Ave., requesting a street light <br />be installed at the end of Prior Avenue to alleViate <br />problems with vandalism, theft and juvenile drinking. <br /> <br />Council concurred to refer this request to the Public Safety/Works Committee <br />for their review and recommendation. <br /> <br />REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR <br /> <br />CLAIMS AND PAYROLL <br /> <br />Sather moved, seconded by Winiecki. that Council <br />approve Claims and Payroll as submitted, Motion carried <br />unanimously. (3-0) <br /> <br />GLENHILL RD. <br /> <br />Clerk Administrator advised Council that a resident of <br />Glenhill Road questioned if his driveway approach would <br />same materials or upgraded. Morrison noted that the <br />the drive were a concrete apron, gravel and blacktop. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />be replaced with the <br />current materials in <br /> <br />After discussion, Council concurred that past policy had been to restore the <br />driveway approach with the same materials, unless the resident requests and <br />assumes the cost for upgrading. <br /> <br />EDGEWATER ESTATES Clerk Administrator explained that Edgewater Estates <br />apartment complex was close to completion and that the <br />developer would probably contact staff to obtain a certificate of occupancy. <br />Morrison asked Council if there would be any objections to issuing the <br />certificate of occupancy prior to the permanent roadway completion; she noted <br />the temporary road was placed in the area as a result of the sewer interceptor <br />project delays. <br /> <br />Council consensus was that the certificate of occupancy could be issued prior <br />to the construction of the permanent roadway; due to the delays in construction <br />of the sewer interceptor project. <br /> <br />Councilmember Winiecki asked'if Mr. McGuire had been advised of the Zoning <br />Ordinance requirement relative to rooftop screening. <br /> <br />Morrison advised she would contact Mr. McGuire and advise him of the Ordinance <br />requirement. . <br />
