She advised that. based on the survey and response from the <br />adjacent property owner, Mrs. Iago determined the amendment is insignificant <br />and recommended the Council waive the public hearing requirement and approve <br />the additional parking space. <br /> <br />Hansen moved, seconded by Hicks, that Council accept the <br />parking survey for the Arden/Shoreview Animal Hospital as submitted, and based <br />on the survey results, neighborhood response and recommendation of the Zoning <br />Administrator, Council waives the requirement for a public hearing on this <br />matter and aooroves the amendment to the SUP for Case No. 84-5 for a staff <br />equivalency of six empoyees. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />TEMP. SIGN PERMIT <br />WOODBRIDGE PROP. <br /> <br />Council was referred to letter sent to Woodbridge <br />Properties 1/22/87, reo expiration of temporary sign <br />permit for banner signs at Northpark Corporate and <br />Business Centers. The Clerk Administrator explained that Mr. Durda had <br />contacted her to request a six-month or one year extension on the sign permits; <br />he also advised the buildings are close to complete occupancy. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Hicks moved, seconded by Peck, that Council approve the <br />extension of two temporary banner sign permits for Woodbridge Properties, for a <br />period of six months, commencing from December 31, 1986, the date of expiration <br />of the initial sign permits. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />TENT AT MC GUIRE'S <br />ST.PATRICK'S DAY <br /> <br />Council was referred to letter from Fire Chief (2/2/87) <br />to Clerk Administrator; listing recommendations for use <br />of the tent at McGuire's Inn on March 17th. <br /> <br />Hall Pollack, Asst. General Manager, appeared before the Council and stated he <br />is willing to comply with the items listed in the Fire Chief's letter. <br /> <br />Chief Winkel informed Council he has inspected the tent and it does meet NFPA <br />safety standards; however, he would prefer not to have the propane heater in <br />the tent. Winkel stated it would be important for him to inspect the tent when <br />erected, prior to the event, to check the location of the tent and propane <br />heaters; inspection to insure area meets NFPA standards and Uniform Fire Code. <br /> <br />Pollock stated he would be happy to work with the Fire Chief to insure <br />compliance with all requirements and noted if the weather remains this mild, <br />the heater may not be needed in the tent. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Moved by Sather, seconded by Hicks,that Council approve <br />the tent structure at McGuire's Inn, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 <br />a.m., on March 17, 1987, subject to final insepction and approval. prior to the <br />event, by the Fire Chief. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />AMUSEMENT DEVICE <br />"FUN 21"; MC GUIRES <br /> <br />The. Clerk Administrator referred Council to the letter <br />dated 2-5-87 from Lou Pazos, General Manager of <br />McGuire's, requesting permission to provide an <br />called "Fun 21" in the lounge area of the establishment. <br /> <br />entertainment program <br /> <br />Lou Pazos appeared before the Council and explained the program is for <br />amusement only, no prizes or monetary compensation is awarded to participants. <br /> <br />Hansen moved, seconded by Sather, that Council approve <br />the license for amusement device, "Fun 21" program, for McGuire's Inn as <br />explained in the letter from Mr. Pazos dated 2-6-87. <br /> <br />Clerk Administrator advised that Council has approved a 1987 license for <br />McGuire's for 5-10 amusement devices; currently McGuire's operate 7 devices and <br />therefore, further Council approval is not necessary; item was discussed for <br />informational purposes. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The motion was withdrawn. <br />
