In the New Brighton sign code, multi-tenant parcels are subject to the same <br />number, size, height, and setback requirements as single parcel properties. A dynamic sign in <br />conformance with the ground sign regulations is permitted by the New Brighton Sign Code and <br />dynamic signs are not limited to restaurant drive-through uses. <br /> <br />Overall, New Brighton’s sign code for ground signs regulates for smaller signs with a taller <br />permitted height, with more location restrictions. Another similarity is allowing <br />for a second freestanding sign when a property has frontage on two streets. The Arden Hills sign <br />code includes more specific requirements for the size of a second sign. Similarly, the Arden Hills <br />sign code includes design standards, particularly for Sign Districts 4 and 5, while the other sign <br />codes are less specific with design standards. Shoreview does identify some instances based on <br />building size when certain sign styles and types are not permitted. <br /> <br />The commercial message sign copy area permitted in Arden Hills is comparable to the other <br />cities with a range from 25 square feet to 100 square feet across sign districts. The range of <br />permitted sign height is the lowest in Arden Hills. All three sign codes allow for freestanding <br />signs to be lit though the Arden Hills sign code prohibits certain lighting types in multiple <br />districts. Arden Hills limits dynamic display signs to menu board signs for drive-through <br />restaurant uses.
