<br />MJnutss Df ~Bgular Counci~ Moetlng, June 27, 1966. continuEd <br /> <br />EdQewater Motsl Matter <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney stated that Minneapoils FederaO has rechecked this matter <br />and have agreed to board lip the main house and remove the oUd building <br />at the back of the property; In September they !nt.nd to rsmodel and re- <br />pair th. main building. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Ordinance <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney read the Planning Commission OrdUnance In Its entirety. <br />Trustee Hoffmann moved the requirement of a third reading of the Ordinance <br />. waived, and the second and flna! reading be given to "An Ordinance <br />~ovldlng for appointment of a Planning Commission and prescribing the <br />powers and duties thereo1; subject to an addition to Section 0 s?atlng that <br />appointments be made each year for a term of one calendar year or balance ' <br />of the year In ~hlch an appointment Is made; seconded by Trustee Bjorndah~; <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />There was SOMe discussion concerning the length of the terms of the members <br />~f the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Mayor Nethercut Iniormed the residents that the Council does have an op- <br />tion on who takes the final action on matters and the Council has decided <br />that this should be the Council considering ~e recommendations from the <br />Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Llcenslnq Ordinance <br /> <br />Clerk Lorraine Stromquist reported that copies of the Licensing Ordinance <br />were distributed to the inspectors, but no suggested changes wers made. <br />Attorney Courtney read the Ordinance In Its entirety. <br /> <br />Trustee Bjorndahl moved approval of the second and final reading of an <br />Ordinance licensing the pursuit of certain trades In the Village of Arden <br />Hills, Including heating, gas Installation, Installation of heating systems, <br />well drilling, and Installation of residential sewers; providing ~Icense <br />fees therefor and penalties for violation; subject to the addition 01 speci- <br />fying that the license fee for the balance of 1966 be $6.00; and waiving <br />the requirement of the third reading; seconded by Trustee Hoffmann; motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />The license year will now coincide wIth the regular calenosr year; pre- <br />viously the vesr was from July I - June 30. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ENG~NEER LUND <br /> <br />Approval of 35W Plans <br /> <br />R~presentatlves of the State Highway Department were present and dlsplaved <br />maps showing the proposed construction of Hlghwav 351'4 from Its present <br />termln~tlon to County Road'l at which point the Int@rsectlon will be the <br />same as the one at Highway 51 and County Road E. <br /> <br />As recommended by Engineer ,Dgn Lund, Trustee Bjorndahl moved approval of <br />.resolutlon, as attached, spprovlng the plBItS;seeo.nded by Trustee ~offmann; <br />'tlon carried. <br /> <br />Lift Station Wsrnlnq Llaht <br /> <br />Engineer Lund Informed the Council that the warning lite at the 11ft <br />station on Lake Johanna Boulevard Is Installed and In piace but the sensor <br />lite was not furnished at the time of construction, but they did not think <br />this to be a problem at the time as only 16 homes were being served. He <br />stated that he wss unable'to get a price on this unit, but thought It would <br />cost under $100.00. <br /> <br />Robert McNeish Informed the Council that his committee has also bean study- <br />Ing this matter and has submitted to Trustee Hoffmann material concerning <br />an Improved system.
