Trustee O/men Informed the Council that the area requirements <br />for this department for the proposed Civic Center as outl ined In the minutes <br />were approximations, and any further recommendations would be reported. <br /> <br />REPORT OF MAYOR NETHERCUT <br /> <br />Metropolitan PlannlnQ Commission <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Mayor Nethercut reported that the Elected ~fflclals Review Committee <br />of the M.P.C. Is holding a series of six meetings, three of which have <br />already been held, to acquaint village and school board representatives <br />with metropolitan problems and to get recommendations from them to give <br />to the M.P.C. for a study basis. He Informed the Council that metropoli- <br />tan transportation was now beIng studied. Clerk was requested to obtain <br />~ddltlonal copies of the pamphlet "Goals" from the M. P. C. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK <br /> <br />Liquor Audits <br /> <br />Trustee Crepeau moved, seconded by Trustee Hoffmann, that the Clerk be <br />authorized to contact Mr. Brunsel/ to have the liquor reports for the <br />year 1965 audited; motion carried. <br /> <br />LeQaf Bulletin Boards <br /> <br />Clerk Lorraine Stromquist Informed the Council that the Village legally <br />Is required to have three bulletin boards located withIn the Village <br />for the purpose of posting public notices regarding voting, public <br />hearings, etc. We now have a bulletin board "at the Village Hall, at the <br />Lake Johanna Elementary" School and one at the cafe at Highways 68 and 610. <br />The cafe at Highway 8 and 10 Is not now operatinG and a third location <br />should be designated. After some dlscu5slcn . Trustee Hoffmann moved that <br />the thlr~ bulletin board be' placed at the MOLnds View HI~h School~ subject <br />to approval, seconded by Trustee Crepeau; motion carried. Matter referred <br />to Clerk. <br /> <br />Apportionment of Assessments <br /> <br />Trustee CreDeau moved the approval of resolutions relating to apportion- <br />ment of assessments relating to Sanitary Sewer Improvements I, 3 and 6, <br />as attached; seconded by Trustee BJorndahl; motion carried. <br /> <br />V II I aQe Li censes <br /> <br />Trustee Crepeau moved, seconded by Trustee <br />be authorized to Investigate the matter of <br />following establishments; <br />Texaco Service Station <br />1265 County Road E <br /> <br />Ormen, that the Pollee Dept. <br />not obtaining licenses by the <br /> <br />Soft Drink LIcense <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Texaco Service Station <br />3130 North Cleveland Ave. <br /> <br />Standard Service Station <br />Highways 8 and_96 <br />motion carried. Llndemer to Llndey's, Inc.; motion carried. <br /> <br />Pedestrian Trail <br /> <br />Clerk Lorraine Stromquist read a news release submitted by ElaIne Campbell, <br />Publicity Coordinator, regarding the proposed pedestrian trail; the Council <br />approved the Item for publication.
