NEW BUSINESS —11A <br />,-ARZEN HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: March 11, 2024 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br />FROM: Jessica Jagoe, Community Development Director <br />SUBJECT: Planning Case # 24-004 <br />Applicant: JRG Custom Deck & Design LLC <br />Property Location: 1594 Lake Johanna Boulevard <br />Lot 2, Block 1, Lake Johanna Woods plat <br />Request: Vacation of Drainage and Utility Easement <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br />N/A N/A N/A <br />Council Should Consider <br />Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br />• Resolution 2024-013 for a Partial Vacation of Drainage and Utility Easement lying <br />within Lot 2, Block 1, Lake Johanna Woods plat. <br />Background <br />On February 20, 2024 the City received a land use application for a Vacation of Drainage Utility <br />Easement for the property at 1594 Lake Johanna Boulevard. The property is the site of a <br />Drainage and Utility Easement per the Plat of Lake Johanna Woods as well as a Conservation <br />Easement. The request for a partial vacation is for the Drainage and Utility Easement. <br />Easement Vacation Request <br />The Applicant is requesting to partially vacate the existing drainage and utility easement to allow <br />for the expansion of an existing deck in the rear yard. The Public Works Director has reviewed <br />the proposed easement vacation and provided a memo in support of the vacation request. Staff <br />has shared the proposed easement vacation with representatives of the Minnesota Board of Water <br />and Soil Resources and Rice Creek Watershed District and the proposal did not raise concerns. <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
