RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> PROCLAMATION PROCLAIMING VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA WEEK <br /> WHEREAS, the Volunteers of America, one of Minnesota's largest human <br /> service organization, is celebrating its 94th year of service to the <br /> people of Minnesota and the nation; it is therefore certainly appropriate <br /> for us to join in the observance of this milestone with the commemoration <br /> of March 4-11, 1990, as Volunteers of America Week; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Volunteers of America is making a valuable contribution to <br /> the people of Minnesota; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Volunteers of America, through its compassionate, yet <br /> practical crusade, is extending spiritual fellowship as it provides relief <br /> where it is most urgently needed; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Volunteers of America is commemorating its founding in 1896 <br /> and urges others to uphold the American philanthropic spirit through their <br /> commitment to help those in need. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that I, Nancy K. Hansen, Acting Mayor of <br /> Arden Hi.~ls, Minnesot2. do hereby proclaim the week of March 4-11~ ~990, <br /> . as <br /> VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA WEEK <br /> AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this proclamation be transmitted <br /> to the Volunteers of America as evidence of our esteem. <br /> IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal <br /> of the City of Arden Hills to be affixed this 26th day of February, 1990. <br /> Nancy K.
