Buckley, I am writing to apply for the position of Program Supervisor that is open in Arden Hills. I am a graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. As you can see frem the enclosed resume, I have worked with a variety of agencies, programs, and groups. This array of experiences has allowed me to establish a good rapport in relationships with the broad spectrum of people. My past supervising responsibilities have included hiring, training, and scheduling staff. Along with managing a staff, it has also been my responsibility . to promote pre-grams. My mod recent prO"iect was a children's "Saturday "i.th Santa" program of whi.ch I planned, orga'lized, promoted, and administered the e!1tire event. I have designed brochures, set up class schedules, coordinated fund raising activities, and worked with a variety of community services. I am currently employed with the Brooklyn Center Parks and Recreation Department. My position as Summer Supervisor gave me extensive experience in the area of recreation programming. I have a strong background in recreational sports as a participant, coach, and official. While working as an assistant to the Program Supervisors at Brooklyn Center, I have been able to get involved in many programs which has helped to strengthen my administrative and organizational skills. I applied for this position because I see this as a chance to further develop my skills. I feel that I could be a valuable contribution to your program.
