Views and opinions regarding street services <br /> Anderson-Niebuhr researchers will work closely with City of Arden Hills <br /> representatives to identify additional topics to be included in the questionnaire. <br /> B. Question Construction <br /> For the survey of residents, questions will be phrased in ways that minimize bias <br /> . and maximize vaiidity and reiiability. Careful attention wili be given to phrasing of <br /> questions to ensure they ask for precisely the desired information. Questions will be <br /> phrased using language and words easily understood so all people will interpret the <br /> questions in the same way. <br /> Questions wili be phrased so they are not "loaded"; i.e., so they do not suggest <br /> that one answer may be socialiy preferred or more "correct" than some other answers. <br /> Words that may stimulate strong emotional reaction on the part of respondents will be <br /> avoided, as will words that may offend or aiienate respondents. <br /> Anderson-Niebuhr researchers devote extensive time in their work to ensure that <br /> the questionnaires they develop obtain reiiable and valid information. In addition to the <br /> steps mentioned above, we often use other procedures to verify the reiiabiiity and <br /> vaiidity of our survey instruments, For example, we have computed a Cronbach's alpha <br /> statistic as a measure of the internal reiiabiiity (consistency) of questionnaire items for a <br /> . number of our survey instruments.
