Berger, city Administrator <br /> SUBJECT: Bergerson-Caswell Change Order, Well Abandonment <br /> at Kem~illing site <br /> ---------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> ---------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> Attached please find a letter from Darrell Oman, Project <br /> Manager at Delta. As council will note, this letter requests a <br /> change order for Bergerson-Caswell for additional funds in the <br /> amount of up to $10,210 to cover costs associated with problems <br /> encountered by Bergerson relative to the abandonment of wells <br /> #3 and #4. Additional Delta fees for this change are estimated <br /> at $1,500, for a total additional expense of up to $11,710. <br /> I have sent a copy of this information to city Engineer Terry <br /> Maurer for his review and comments. Terry is unable to be <br /> present at the meeting, but I will forward his comments to <br /> . council, as well as share any verbal information he passes <br /> along to me. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff is not prepared to make a recommendation at this time. <br /> ACTION REQUIRED: <br /> Council should be prepared to discuss this matter, along with <br /> review of Engineer Maurer's comments, on Monday evening. <br /> If the Engineer's comments are favorable and if Council is <br /> amenable to the request, they should pass a motion authorizing <br /> the expenditure of additional funds of up to $11,710 to cover <br /> these expenses. <br /> GRB:madlr <br /> attachment <br /> . <br />
