Project Direction and References <br /> The professional staff who will work closely with City of Arden Hills <br /> representatives on this project will consist of Dr. John Anderson, Ms. Marsha Niebuhr, <br /> Ms. Karen Lyon, Dr. Pamela Schomaker, and Dr. Elizabeth Peterson. Dr. Anderson and <br /> Ms. Niebuhr are principals and founders of Anderson, Niebuhr & Associates, Inc. and <br /> have many years of experience conducting market research surveys. They have co- <br /> authored a widely used textbook about survey research, Questionnaires: Design and <br /> Use (2nd ed., 1986), and founded the Special Interest Group on Survey Research, an <br /> organization within the American Educational Research Association established to <br /> improve the methods used to conduct survey research. In addition, Dr. Anderson has <br /> published research articles in a variety of professional publications, including Journal of <br /> Marketing, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Marketing News. <br /> . Ms. Lyon is an Executive Associate with Anderson-Niebuhr and has managed <br /> over 75 projects for the firm, Previously she has served as a health care consultant in <br /> program evaluation and accreditation, administered health care programs in Wisconsin, <br /> and has published in the Journal of Reproductive Medicine. She has been a speaker at <br /> national conferences of the American Marketing Association and American Hospital <br /> Association concerning how to conduct high quality market research. <br /> Dr. Schomaker is a Research Associate with Anderson-Niebuhr. Questionnaire <br /> construction, statistical data interpretation, technical writing of research reports, and <br /> project management are her primary areas of responsibility. Previously she has worked <br /> on a number of recreation research projects with the U.S. Forest Service and the <br /> University of Minnesota. She has presented research papers at national conferences for <br /> the National Recreation and Park Association and the Association of Interpretive <br /> Naturalists, and was an invited guest speaker at the 1989 National Wilderness <br /> . Management Conference. <br />
