Berger
Village of Arden Hills
1450 West Highway 96
Arden Hills, MN 55112
Subject: Well Abandonment Change Otder
KEM Milling
Arden Hills, Minnesota
Delta No. 10-89-385
Dear Mr. Berger:
This letter supplements our May 10, 1990, letter to you and summarizes the agreements made
during the city council work session of May 21, 1990. At that work session, which was attended
by city administration, city council members, Bergerson-Caswell, Inc. (BCI), and Delta
. Environmental Consultants, Inc. (Delta), it was agreed that additional funds would be allocated
for the abandonment of wells #3 and #4. The additional funding to BCI will not exceed $8,000.
This additional amount is based on the assumption that well #3 will not be greater that 200 feet
deep and that well #4 will not be greater than 240 feet deep.
As was also agreed upon in the work session, DeIta will still provide oversight for tbe well
abandonments, but at no additional consulting cost to the city. We wish to point out, however,
that other issues such as drum disposal and soil contamination, which have already been discussed
with you, have involved some additional Delta on-site labor and project management.
To provide itemized actual costs for the well abandonments, Delta will review the time and
material invoices from BCI for the original work scope plus the change order. Once we have
reviewed these invoices, Delta will provide you with a summary.
If you have any questions regarding this letter, please call me at (612) 636-2427.
Sincerely,
2r~TAL Q::ffi' me
.Om~ j
Environmental Assessm Manager
.
