CAIL 'ill ORDER Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Sather <br /> called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> ROlL CAIL 'Ihe roll being called the following members were present: <br /> Mayor 'Ih0Ill3.S Sather, cOlll1cilJnembers Nancy Hansen, Paul <br /> Malone, JaAnn Growe and 'Ih0Ill3.S Mahowald. Also present were Public W=ks <br /> SUperVisor Dan Winkel, Clerk Administrator Gary Berger and Deputy Clerk catherine <br /> Iago. <br /> 1989 ANNUAL Auditor Gary Gruen, representing Alxio, Alxio & Eick, was <br /> FINANCIAL REPORr present to review the 1989 Annual Financial Report for <br /> the COllllcil and members of the Finance committee. <br /> Council thanked Gary for the presentation and report. <br /> AJX)PI' Malone moved, seconded by Hansen, to adopt the June 11 <br /> AGENDA Agenda as suJ::xnitted. Motion carried unanilnously. (5-0) <br /> APPROVE Hansen moved, seconded by Growe, to approve the May <br /> MINUTES 21 Worksession and May 29, 1990 Regular Council Meeting <br /> Minutes as suhnitted. Motion carried unanilnously. (5-0) <br /> CDNSENT CouncilJnember Malone requested discussion on Item 4 (b) , <br /> CALENDAR Fireworks Permit for Northwestern College; questioned <br /> what Class fireworks will be displayed. <br />. Deputy Clerk Iago advised the person applying for the pemit did not specify the <br /> fireworks classification. <br /> Council concurred to remove thisiternfrom the Consent Calendar and requested <br /> staff contact Northwestern College todetennine the fireworks classification. It <br /> was further suggested that this matter be placed on the June 25 Council Agenda <br /> for consideration. <br /> Hansen moved, seconded by Malone, to approve the Consent <br /> Calendar, deleting Item 4 (b) Fireworks permit for Northwestern College pending <br /> classification of fireworks, and authorize execution of all necessary documents <br /> contained therein: <br /> a. Approve Partial Payment, HRS Construction Company. <br /> b. Deleted. <br /> c. Approve Request for Door to Door Canvass, Minnesota Public Interest Group. <br /> d. Approve List of Claims and Payroll. <br /> Motion carried unanilnously. (5-0) <br /> PUBLIC cx:MMENTS None. <br /> CHANGE ORDER; Council was referred to a report from Clerk Administrator <br /> ENVIRONEr, INC., Berger dated 6-7-90, regarding the change order suJ::xnitted <br /> ASBES'IDS ABATEMENT by Environet, Inc., for asbestos abatement at the Kem <br />. Milling site. <br /> CouncilJnember Malone stated payment of the change order seems appropriate clue to <br /> the removal of additional asbestos which was apparently hidden and not detected <br /> in previous inspections. <br />
