Berger, city Administrator <br /> SUBJECT: Request for Fireworks Permit <br /> ----------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> ----------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> Attached please find a letter of request from Douglas Reader, <br /> Manager of Northwestern College Series for permission for a <br /> short fireworks display on July 3 at approximately 9:15 P.M. <br /> section 13-93 of the city ordinance requires Council approval <br /> for this type of fireworks purchase/display. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends approving the request for a fireworks display <br /> as indicated in Mr. Reader's letter received June 7. <br /> ACTION REQUIRED: <br />. If Council concurs with the staff recommendation, they should <br /> pass a motion, under Consent, approving a permit to allow a <br /> fireworks display at Northwestern college on July 3, 1990, at <br /> approximately 9:15 P.M., lasting about five minutes. <br /> GRB:madlr <br /> attachment <br /> June 19, 1990 <br /> NOTE TO COUNCIL: <br /> Fire Chief Dan Winkel has spoken with a representative from Arrowhead <br /> Fireworks, who indicated that the display will be of Class B fireworks, <br /> with a few larger rockets. Dan feels there is no danger due to the <br /> location where the fireworks will be set off and recommends approval <br /> of the fireworks display. <br />. <br />
