Iago, Deputy Clerk <br /> SUBJECT: Resignation from Board of Appeals and Planning <br /> commission <br /> ----------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> ----------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> At the last Board of Appeals meeting, Chairman Barbara Piotrowski <br /> advised the members that she was resigning effective immediately <br /> from the Board of Appeals. However, she will remain on the <br /> City's Planning commission. vince Linders has agreed to act as <br /> temporary Chairman. <br /> Also, at the last Planning commission meeting, Commissioner Peter <br /> Martin announced his resignation from the commission, since he <br /> has recently moved to New Brighton. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br />. Staff recommends acceptance of these two resignations as <br /> requested. These resignations will have no adverse effect on the <br /> commissions membership, therefore no replacements need be made. <br /> At this point, it is uncertain if the Board of Appeals will <br /> remain as a viable Commission. This will be discussed at the <br /> August 20 Council worksession. <br /> ACTION REQUIRED: <br /> If Council concurs with the staff recommendation, they should <br /> accept the two resignations as requested, and direct staff to <br /> forward appropriate letters of thanks. <br /> CJI:mad1r <br />. <br />
