The City should adopt a Resolution amending the
comprehensive plan. A draft of the Resolution is
enclosed for your review.
2. The City should adopt an Ordinance amending the text
of the zoning code to provide for the Gateway
Business District. A draft of the proposed Ordinance
is enclosed for your review. The Ordinance includes
, the recommendations made by the Metropolitan Council.
3. The City should adopt an Ordinance re-zoning the area
in the Gateway Business District from I-I (Limited
Industrial) and R-2 (Single and Two Family
Residential) to GB (Gateway Business). A draft of
the proposed Ordinance is enclosed for your review.
According to the City records, public hearings were held
on the comprehensive plan amendment on November 14, 1988 and
January 29, 1990. Public hearings were held on changes to the
text of the zoning code and on the re-zoning of property on
January 29, 1990. All public hearings were preceded by mailed
and published notice.
All of these matters can proceed to the City Council on
the same agenda. All matters require the affirmative vote of
. four council members in order to be approved.
