Buckley, Parks Director <br /> SUBJECT: six Month Performance Evaluation for Program <br /> Supervisor Cynt:hia Severtson <br /> ------------------------------------------------------------------ <br /> ------------------------------------------------------------------ <br /> Cynthia Severtson has completed her 6 months probation period of <br /> employment with the city of Arden Hills, effective September 13, <br /> 1990. I have conducted her 6 month evaluation and have found Ms. <br /> Severtson's performance to be highly satisfactory and recommend <br /> that: she be placed on permanent employee status. <br /> Ms. Severtson's current salary is $10 per hour. This is <br /> extremely low when comparing program supervisor's salaries <br /> throughout: the metro area. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Ms. Severtson's salary be raised to Step 3 ($10.85 per hour) <br />. retroactive to September 13. This increase was covered in the <br /> 1990 pay recommendations. <br /> An additional increase should be considered in January, 1991. <br /> These actions will demonstrate progress toward pay equity and <br /> comparable worth and start bringing Ms. Severtson's salary in <br /> line with program supervisors thoughout the metro area. <br /> ACTION REQUIRED: <br /> If Council concurs with the staff recommendation, they should <br /> pass a motion placing Ms. Severtson on permanent employee status <br /> and authorize a pay increase to $10.85 per hour (step 3 of the <br /> pay plan) retroactive to September 13, 1990. <br /> JTB:mah <br />. <br />
