The theme captures the
excitement inherent in the District's move to a new grade organization and
implementation of Mounds View Public Schools' Bold Venture program plans. It
also captures the value our schools and cities place on programs offered
. through District 621 Community Education, and the satisfaction that has come
through their successful relocation from Edgewood to new sites in our
communities.
As a symbol of this school and city unity, a "Celebrate Learning" flag has
been designed by student Anna Pletscher whose design contest entry was one of
800 received from students last spring. The flag is intended to be for
display at all District 621 schools, the community centers, and .. with city
council endorsement .. the city halls of our school district.
Mounds View Public Schools would like to present the City of Arden Hills with
its "Celebrate Learning" flag. In a telephone conversation with City
Administrator Gary Berger, it was suggested that the formal.presentation be
made by the School District at the October 29 meeting of the Arden H,ills City
Council. We look forward to a confirmation of these plans, and to presenting
you with the flag to display proudly as we all continue to celebrate learning
in District 621 schools and cities.
:e:'Y'~
Burton M.
