<br />I-':Sle;6 Four <br /> <br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting <br /> <br />i'~,'I311C 11 ~29 9 1965 <br /> <br />REPORT OF TRUSTEE OLllffiN <br /> <br />Maintenance EQuipment <br />Trustee Olmen informed the Council that Fred Nixon had purchashed a <br />tractor with a scoop and suggested that the Village purchRse a sweeper <br />attachment for ito <br /> <br />REPORT OF MAYOR KENNEDY <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Mayor Kennedy informed the Council that a prospective buyer is interested <br />in purchasing property south of Floral Drive for an engineering opera= <br />tion. but when Mayor Kennedy checked the zoning of the property with <br />Carl Dale he was informed that this parcel which is now zoned industrial <br />is proposed to be zoned residential in the overall plan. Carl Dale <br />suggested that the owner of the property be informed of this situation. <br /> <br />Trustee Nethercut requested the Clerk to check when this property was <br />zoned industrial; Trustee Crepeau requested the Clerk to also check <br />the number of acres involved. <br /> <br />Matter referred to Trustee Nethercut to present to the Planning Con~, <br /> <br />Mid-Decade Census <br />In reply to an inquiry from Mayor Kennedy. Clerk Lorraine Stromquist <br />informed the Council that the census is set up to be taken this Oct. <br />She stated that she expects to be contacted by the Bureau of Census <br />probably in July as this project will be under their direction. <br /> <br />REPORT OF CLERK IiJRRAINE STROMQUIST <br /> <br />Commercial Sewer Rate Changes <br />Clerk Lorraine s~romqu~st informed the Council of the changes in <br />sewer rates from the City of St. Paul for commercial establishments <br />in the Village. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Rea portionment of Assessments <br />Trustee en moved, seconde by Trustee Nethercut, the adop/Gion of <br />a resolution relating to apportionment of assessments relating to <br />Sanitary Sewer Improvements Nos,. 1. 2, 3 and 5 and Stree'h Improvement <br />No.5, as attached; motion carried. <br /> <br />Extension of T.H. #51 <br />Clerk Lorraine StromqUist read a letter, dated March 24. 1965. whlc11 <br />informed the Cour~il that the State Highway Dept. does not contemplate <br />any construction of an extension of Highway 51; part of this property <br />is still under the jurisdiction of Ramsey County although the State <br />has aCquired the right of way. <br /> <br />Complain'hs <br />Clerk Lorraine Stromquist informed the CoUr.cil of the complaints of <br />a resident concerning the Village storage building and property on <br />New Brighton Road. Clerk requested to contact the resident and <br />explain that the street maintenance equipment stored at this location <br />will be moved after it is no longer needed for snow removal and the <br />trees in the property next to the storage building are to be used as <br />fill and will be covered with fill dirt as soon as possibleo <br /> <br />Continuation of Public Hearing = Husby Property <br />Clerk reminded the Council that the continuation of t:tis public <br />hearing will be held April 12. the evening of the Regular Council <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Financial Statements <br />Clerk distributed to members of the Cour;ci1 oopies of 'Ghe Village <br />Financial Statement for 1964. <br /> <br />Village Health Officer Letter <br />Clem Lorraine Stromquist read a letter. dated March 27, 1965, from <br />the Village Health Officer, Dr. John V. Farkas. which expressed his <br />gratitude for the badge given him by the Chief of Police, and stated <br />that he will continue to do his best to carry out his duties for the <br />remainder of the year. <br /> <br />=4= <br />
