Kerr, member of Zoning and Planning <br />Committee. <br /> <br />The minutes of the speCial meeting of January 2. 1962. were approved as <br />amended. <br /> <br />Trustee Olmen's Report <br />None <br /> <br />Trustee Kennedy's Report <br />Vi~lage On=Sale Liquor Licenses <br />Mr. Kennedy reported that he had ta~ked with :~. Courtney. Village Attorney <br />conoerning the nLmber of liquor licenses available in Arden Hills., He was' <br />informed that villages with a'population of 2500 = 5000 are permitted four <br />on=sale liquor licenses; therefore. the village is allowed one more &n=sale <br />liquor establishment. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Zonin Variance Request = Griffis Inc. <br />Mr. Kenne y repol' ed G f.l r. . . Griffis, 5040 \'.'oodlawn Ave.. Mpls.. <br />owner of Griffis, Inc., located in Roseville. is not interested In build= <br />ing at the present tL~e on the site which he requested the Councll to <br />rezone fromR 2 to Industrial. Said site belng the area bounded by Cleve- <br />land Ave., Highway #8 and the future FreeWay 35W. request tab:j,ea. <br /> <br />Mr. Kennedy also reported that the Village of New Brighton, which haa <br />property locatc:d north of Freeway 35W, is interested in improving this <br />area. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Roseville 24 LAnes. Ino. - Building Proposal <br />~~. Kennedy reported on a meeting attended by himself, the Arden Hills <br />Eusiness Promotion Committee, the owners of Roseville 24 Lanes, Ino. aDd <br />Mr. Jastrow, owner of the proposed building site. The feasibility of <br />the location, Snelring Avenue - south of Highway #96. WaS discussed. <br />The Business Promotion Committee recommended another location in the <br />village, because of the location of the highWays under construction <br />making acoess to the proposed site inconvenient. <br /> <br />The owners agreed that they would consider other sites in the village. <br />A future meeting is scheduled. <br /> <br />Liquor Lioense Request <br />Mr. Haymond Gadwa. .1376 Grantham. St. Paul, informed the Counoil he is <br />intereeted in locating a supper club and liquor lounge in the villageg <br />possibly at the oorner of Highways #96 and #10. <br /> <br />Referred to Clerk Lorraine Stromquist have Mr. GadwQ oomplete the neo~ssary <br />application forms for oonsideration by the Council. <br />
